Big Air Gap Best Trick and Pro Street World Championship Finals “This is going to be a contest everyone will be talking about,” said Mark Waters, director of skateboarding for World Skateboarding Grand Prix.  “Nyjah Huston is skating and it will be great to see him tackle the head-to-head jam format, which he’s never skated before. We’ve got vets like Greg Lutzka, Ryan Decenzo, Silas Baxter-Neal, and then the new breed of guys like James Hardy, Matt Berger, Louie Lopez, Alec Majerus who are here on African soil for the first time. The format is challenging and intense, and it’s my favorite format to watch. The skaters can’t just cruise, they have to not only land big tricks but overall show a lot of great skateboarding in order to advance each round. With $100,000 on the line you’re gonna see these guys really going for it. US skate fans are definitely gonna wanna set their alarms so they can tune in to the live webcast and see how it all goes down.” The Kimberley Diamond Cup world skateboarding championships takes place Sept. 27-29. Pros will battle it out for their share of a $500,000 prize purse, the largest single event prize purse in skateboarding.  The winner of the Street Championships will receive a $100,000 cash prize.
